a bit about me
I am eclectic and light-hearted. Multi-skilled and multi-passionate. And in memory of my core family members pictured here, I am committed to show up to be and do my best. I was caregiver to them before they all, suddenly, transitioned in mid-late 2021. That experience gutted me. It has further inspired how I show up in the world, prayerfully, with humility, gratitude, and Light. Lastly, I am a proud summa cum laude graduate of East Carolina University’s University Studies Program with a concentration in B.S. Business Systems (2022).
Hi! I’m Latisha
Your Operations Swiss Army Knife
I’m a late bloomer to discovering my strengths — and I’ve made peace with that. I’m an exploratory, entrepreneurial thinker by nature, so I didn’t feel pressure to follow the standard script. That led me to start ventures early, sometimes before I had the capital, emotional bandwidth, or financial safety net to sustain them. Rather than force it, I recognized that mistake early and decided to pause, reset, and finish my degree. So I pivoted back into my core skills in operations and administrative support — to stabilize financially and put those skills to work in the industries I’m drawn to: real estate, finance, and fintech. That path led me to Ripple Labs and a growing focus on digital asset trends and regulatory compliance. What may look like scatter on paper to some is really one skill — operational problem-solving — applied in any setting I’ve walked into: spotting a problem and designing a customized way through it.
Since my layoff in 2024, I’ve been driving Lyft while taking continuing education courses in fintech compliance, SQL, and data analytics, and pursuing compliance-adjacent roles. A little-known fact: I’m working on improving my public speaking. Below is a 2024 commencement speech I gave at my alma mater.
